On Sensuality & Sharia

I often hear that Muslim women deck themselves out in the regalia that they do to ward off the attention of males not of their family (inherent and created).

As is written in Qur’an 24:31:

And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts and do not display their ornaments except what appears thereof, and let them wear their head-coverings (khimars) over their bosoms (jaybs), and not display their ornaments except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers or their brothers’ sons, or their sisters’ sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments.

and in Qur’an 33: 58-59

Those who harass believing men and believing women undeservedly, bear (on themselves) A calumny and a grievous sin. O Prophet! Enjoin your wives, your daughters, and the wives of true believers that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad) That is most convenient, that they may be distinguished and not be harassed.

As I waited by the bus stop to go to work on Monday, my attention couldn’t help but be stolen by a Muslim female spruced up head to toe in the requisite jilbab; with the majority of her body covered, her nicely-rounded face – with its ripe lips and wide, bright eyes -took on a certain prominence…..

…..couple this with the touch of the Rubenesque still showing through her garms and the abiding thought on my mind ran along the lines of: I’d love to see what she looks like when she jilts that jilbab!

So yeah, I don’t quite know what Mohammed smoked when he wrote all that! Didn’t he hear that concealment stokes the flames of curiosity?

Perhaps he did……

I hear that the Archbishop of Canterbury thinks it a good idea to have elements of Sharia Law introduced into Britain to appease the religious sensitivities of the Muslim populace.

Nice to see slave moralists stick together!

But in all honesty, I do agree with his Blakeian sentiment – one law for the Lion and the Ox is oppression….

….and going by what I’ve seen and heard, Sharia law very much constitutes one law for the Lion and Ox – of oppression!

As much as I despise the cocksuckers in Commons who run this land, the thought of living under a theocracy – especially one where I could be fettered, flogged or fatwa’d for scribbling a cartoon, writing a book or naming my teddy bear Mohammed – would really make me want to, to quote H.L Mencken “spit on [my] hands, hoist the black flag and begin to slit throats”.

Introducing Sharia into the governmental structure of Slave Britannia would undoubtedly be the first step toward such a theocracy.

All that said, like our Archbishop, I’m all for appeasing those amongst the Muslim population who do want a Sharia state. Method of appeasement? I’m thinking along the lines of a vote-by-name amongst the Muslim populace; for those that elect for the laws of this (relatively) free nation,it’d be businesses as usual; for those that choose Sharia, settlements could be proposed…..

….in Somalia, Sudan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran…….

…..and when their kids come of age they could elect whether or not to join them.

Who said you can’t please all of the people all of the time?

Actually there’s a site somewhere out there in the wilds of the internet dedicated to Burqa/hijab/whatever-porn. Or rather just … pictures of women all covered up. It is (or was, I haven’t heard of it in a while) run by a westernised Muslim man who had quite a fetish for that. Apparently he got a lot of hate-mail from other Muslims.

  2. Well the one thing we got right in this country is separation of church and state. Now if we can only stick to it ! What about the non believers rights ?
